If you have
a question about our participation in a particular plan, please
call our billing office at 610-988-5134.
For services
performed at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center or The
Reading Hospital SurgiCenter at Spring Ridge, you will
receive a bill from Reading Anesthesia Associates for the services
rendered by the anesthesiologist which is separate from the hospital's
bill. The hospital's bill will include an "anesthesia"
charge for the services of the hospital-employed nurse anesthetist
(CRNA) and the hospital's cost of equipment and supplies.
For services
performed for Medicare beneficiaries at
The Reading Hospital and Medical Center or The Reading Hospital
SurgiCenter at Spring Ridge, the bill for the nurse anesthetist
is submitted separately for Medicare payment in accordance with
Medicare regulations. Therefore, you will receive a bill from the
hospital for their nurse anesthetist service separate from the hospital's
bill and the anesthesiologist's bill.
For services
performed at the Berkshire Eye Surgery Center or the
Berks Urologic Surgery Center, you will receive a bill
from Reading Anesthesia Associates for the professional services
rendered by the anesthesiologist which is separate from the Surgery
Center's bill.
For services
performed at the Pennsylvania Eye and Ear Surgery Center
at Granite Point, you will receive a bill from Reading Anesthesia
Associates for the professional services of the anesthesiologist,
which is separate from the Surgery Center's bill. Depending on your
insurance carrier, the fee for the professional services of the
RAA-employed nurse anesthetist may be billed separately or may be
included in the bill for the anesthesiologist.
For certain
elective and cosmetic procedures, you may be required
to prepay your anesthesiologist's fee, as well as the hospital or
surgery center's bill and surgeon's fee. Your surgeon will give
you a form with our charges. Please bring this form with you to
the pre-anesthesia interview prior to your operation.
Our billing
procedures will follow the payment policies of your particular plan.
We will always submit a claim form on your behalf and notify you
of any co-insurance or deductible responsibility.
Payment plans
can be arranged when necessary. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
