Established in 1984, Reading Anesthesia Associates, Ltd. (RAA) is a medical group of 27 anesthesiologists.

We are dedicated to providing the highest quality, compassionate anesthesia care in a cost effective manner.

Our anesthesiologists are medical doctors with three to five years of residency and often fellowship training beyond medical school. A number of our doctors have special training or interest in pediatric anesthesia, obstetrical anesthesia, cardiac anesthesia, post-operative pain management and critical care. Each of our doctors is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

RAA has a peer-reviewed quality assurance program and each doctor fulfills an annual commitment to continuing medical education.

RAA provides anesthesia services at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, The Reading Hospital SurgiCenter at Spring Ridge, Berkshire Eye Surgery Center, Pennsylvania Eye and Ear Surgery Center, Berks Urologic Surgery Center and Berks Plastic Surgery Center. Your anesthesia care may be provided by one of our anesthesiologists personally, or by an Anesthesia Care Team in which a highly trained nurse anesthetist is medically directed by one of our anesthesiologists. While medically directing, the anesthesiologist, in addition to prescribing the anesthetic plan, will be personally present when you go to sleep, at regular intervals during the anesthetic, and when you wake up. In addition, we are immediately available for consultation at any time during your anesthetic.
